Why was Wagatail Created?
Wagatail was primarily created, because we saw a need for great concerts to be brought in by people that actually knew the music and the markets for these concerts. Founder, Ben Baruch's forte is "jam" and experimental music and seeing that there was an extreme lack in the LA music scene, Ben decided to do everything he could do re-amp the scene with the the best national touring bands. Once new staff was brought into the company, all genres of music were being promoted in multiple markets outside of CA. Our goal is to bring these amazing bands to people that love and live for this music. We are huge music fans, and want to do everything we can to help create the music and the community that we all live for.
Does Wagatail Promote bands or only the concerts they produce?
Wagatail does promote bands and artists to the fullest extent. We are extremely selective with what acts we take on, however when we do take on an act to promote, we do it in its entirety . Our services include everything but not limited to; passing out flyers at like minded shows, hanging posters about a tour or new album, emailers and blogs sent to the appropriate places as well as sending street teams to like genered festivals. We have various promotional packages and will custom anything to best suit your needs. If you want to get the word out to the masses, Wagatail knows how to do it.
Why would a band or venue have Wagatail do a show?
When Wagatail puts on a show, we produce and promote the show in its entirety. Once we secure the talent ,we promote the show unlike actual venues. We know the bands and the markets better than most venues, which allows us to promote the band in a manner that will truly benefit the band in the most beneficial ways. We have a 30 person street team, 20,000+ person emailer, and we advertise the band through all the appropriate mediums. We have representatives and street teamer's at every concert that we feel fit, leading up to your show, to pass flyer's, promo CD's and any other promotional material to help get your name and music out to as many people as possible.
Our main goal besides bringing in amazing music, is catering to our talent and our fans. We do everything we can to make each and every Wagatail event, not only a great concert, but an overall great experience.
Are any of the proceeds donated from the shows?
A portion of the proceeds from every show is donated to the Rainbow Music Academy. This is a Los Angeles based foundation, which donates instruments and lessons to underprivileged children to help make their dreams of playing music a reality.
